Very Vicky wearing vintage crocheted dress
My authentic Blythe doll wearing a vintage red crocheted napkin doll dress I found while antiqueing one afternoon last year. I have made a under dress from a vintage linen tablecloth. She's having a picnic with a mini tea set in the shape of lilly pads and flowers by the guest bedroom window. So lonely!

Rodeo/Texas style Vintage Wedding Guest Dress
I created this dress with the vintage wedding in mind. Possibly the Mother of the Bride or a wedding guest could wear the scarf hem detailed dress. The top is a beautiful alencon lace camisole - with zipped side entrance. The skirt is a combination of slips, hand dyed and created scarf hem from a beautiful chiffon patterned fabric.

Victorian Fashion Costumes
Victorian Fashion from the movie, The Young Victoria from the Flickr site. They are so beautiful and I have found a site with authentic patterns from this era. Bustles, crinolines, bodices skirts from the 1840's through 1899. Just fabulous! Take a look:

A Visit To Revival
A visit to Revival Antiques in Raleigh, NC. A great place to find really chippy, old, unusual, big, turn of the century, 1930's furniture. Go with at least $300.00 and expect of fall in love with at least 10 things! You will probably have to do some cleaning up, repairing, possibly painting before you can take it inside your home. I love the whole place. These pictures are mostly from their warehouse at the end of the warehouse complex. Inside the actual store is the beautiful refurbished, repaired furniture- showroom. They are a wonderful source!
Enjoy the pictures and visit when you can!

A QUIZ for you
Name this place. Do you instantly recognize it? This is something everyone needs to see and possibly experience, IMO. Easy if you live in North Carolina or visit this area. Those are the only hints I will give. Leave a comment with your answer and you will be entered into a drawing for a vintage piece of jewelry from my collection! The winner will be announced at the end of this day - January 11, 2013!

The turquoise slip dress
I've been busy creating some new slip dresses from my fabric and garment collection from thrifting and shopping. I'm very excited about the texture on the silk charmeuse turquoise slip - the zig zag stitch was so much fun - and I really did zig zag across the surface of the entire slip. I created ruffles from scraps I cut from the bottom of the slip - attached them to the neckline.
There is a black lace bolero to go over the dress - to be sold together. It is almost finished - maybe tomorrow!
This outfit will be listed on Etsy tomorrow. My shop, of course is Vintage Halls.
Welcome everyone!
This picture is from my trip to France this summer - a main hallway of the Louvre - what an inspiration for being creative!
